Welcome! I’m Michelle, Owner of MWM Photography.

I fell in love with photography when my first child was born. She was so small, and so perfect, and I wanted to capture every passing moment. And boy, they sure passed quickly! Now I’m trying to catch those precious moments with my third, and last, child, and I just can’t stop taking photographs of my kids as they make their way through their worlds. It’s been a source of great joy and pride, and, if I’m being honest, a little sadness because it’s happening so fast!

Not long after falling in love with photography, I realized how truly essential it is.

I had just lost my father to cancer, which was devastating, but it also taught me some invaluable lessons: love the ones you love intensely, and let them know it; cherish every piece of life that you are given. Looking through family photos and seeing my father’s smiling face was a great comfort for me during that difficult time, but I soon realized that there just weren’t enough photos with him in them. He was the family photographer and spent more time behind the lens than in front of it. I think a lot of us are guilty of this, aren’t we?

That’s what I love the most about photography: the emotions.

I’m naturally drawn to all emotions, and I’m passionate about capturing them and preserving them forever. I share the photos and stories of my father with my own children, and in that way he lives on. I see the photos of my family on my walls at home, and I’m filled with joy.

More than anything, I want that for you too.

I want you to walk through your house and see love and life on your walls. I want you to look at your wedding photos in twenty years and fall in love all over again. I want you to curl up with your family years from now and look through your photographs together and share old stories. These are the memories that shape our lives, and I can’t wait to capture them with you!
